The tomb was located in the ancient city of Thebes (modern Luxor). It was designed by the royal architect Khaemwaset, and is one of the most well preserved tomb complexes from the New Kingdom. It was built around 1390 BC, and the tomb decoration is from the reign of Amenhotep III.The tomb of Userhat consisted of five chambers, two of which were unfinished at the time of his death. At the entrance of the tomb there is a large rectangular courtyard, which was probably used for religious ceremonies related to the cult of Userhat. It leads to a room where there is a false door.
